Rishi Khosla

Rishi Khosla is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor, and the CEO and co-founder of OakNorth, the leading digital commercial bank for lower mid-market businesses ($5m-$100m turnover) across the UK and US, with business operations in India.

Since launching in 2015, OakNorth has lent over $18bn to these businesses, directly supporting the creation of 58,000 new jobs and more than 36,000 new homes – the majority of which are affordable and social housing.

Rishi believes passionately that successful entrepreneurs are vital in driving innovation, job creation and economic growth, for the benefit of all. He is deeply invested in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and creating environments for aspiring entrepreneurs. Through OakNorth, he supports several initiatives in the educational space, working with schools and academies to encourage the entrepreneurial mindset in the next generation.

Rishi believes in fostering potential at an early age, which is why one of the focuses of the Foundation, is to support and boost early childhood development, which is key to enabling and nurturing the agency, creativity, and curiosity that unleashes potential.
The Foundation is also committed to supporting diversity in the entrepreneurial space through driving female empowerment in underprivileged communities. Rishi was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) from Her Majesty The Queen in 2019 for services to business.
